A Review of the Middle East Airlines (MEA) “Beirut” Lounge, Beirut Airport (BEY)

Overall Rating: 6/10

An airline run lounge operated by MEA. Accessed on this occasion with a SkyTeam Elite Plus Card and a MEA Flight. Also used by a number of other airlines, primarily SkyTeam members.

This is the “Annex” to the main lounge (“Cedar Lounge”) a few hundred meters away. A much calmer atmosphere with comfy chairs and great views over the apron, though much more limited food and drinks selection.

Food:

A limited selection of cold pastries, peanuts and grapes.

Drinks:

An extensive self-serve range of spirits, beers and Lebanese wines. 4-5 scotch whiskies to select from, alone.

WiFi and Power:

Fast Lounge WiFi with a password.

Views and Comfort:

Felt quite dated and had older by very comfy, “throne-like” leather chairs and superb views over the apron.
